Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 29/09/2026

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files that websites may place on a user's device to support website functionality, maintain sessions, remember limited information, or enable certain technical features.

TapAI may also use similar technologies, including:

  • Server-side sessions
  • Browser sessionStorage
  • Persistent verification cookies
  • Other technical mechanisms required to operate the service

Not every TapAI feature relies on browser cookies.

2. How TapAI Uses Cookies and Storage Technologies

Based on the TapAI implementation reviewed, TapAI currently uses cookies and browser storage primarily for essential website and account functionality. These technologies support functions such as:

  • Maintaining user sessions
  • Supporting login and verification
  • Maintaining shopping-cart sessions
  • Enabling secure account interactions
  • Preserving checkout information temporarily
  • Supporting profile-management functionality

TapAI does not currently rely on the reviewed implementation for advertising or behavioural analytics cookies.

3. Standard Session Cookie

TapAI uses a standard PHP session cookie to maintain a visitor or user's session. The session may support functions such as:

  • Session handling
  • Login state
  • Cart functionality
  • Security tokens
  • Anti-forgery or CSRF protection
  • Other essential website functionality

The full shopping-cart contents are stored server-side rather than directly inside the browser cookie.

The exact lifetime of the standard PHP session cookie depends on TapAI's server-side PHP session configuration. Because the exact server timeout has not yet been confirmed, TapAI does not state a fixed duration for this session cookie in this Policy.

4. Profile Verification Cookie

TapAI uses a persistent cookie for profile owners who successfully verify their identity using a one-time verification code.

This allows a verified profile owner to return to the profile-editing area without repeating the verification process on every visit.

The verification cookie remains active for approximately 30 days. After that period, or where the cookie is removed or otherwise invalidated, the user may be required to verify their identity again.

5. Login and Session Management

TapAI uses different session behaviour depending on the relevant login flow.

5.1 Public Profile Editing

A profile owner who successfully verifies their identity may remain verified for approximately 30 days through the persistent verification cookie described above.

5.2 Internal Dashboard

The internal dashboard appears to rely on the standard PHP session mechanism.

The exact session timeout for the internal dashboard is determined by server configuration and should not be treated as a fixed duration unless separately confirmed.

TapAI does not currently provide a separate persistent "Remember Me" feature for the internal dashboard based on the implementation reviewed.

6. Shopping Cart

TapAI shopping-cart information is stored server-side and associated with the visitor's session. The complete contents of the cart are not stored directly in:

  • Browser cookies
  • Browser local storage

Based on the reviewed application logic, cart information may expire after approximately 6 hours of inactivity. It may expire earlier if the associated PHP session expires first.

7. Browser Session Storage

TapAI uses browser sessionStorage during the checkout process.

This storage is used temporarily to preserve information entered during checkout so that the information is not lost if the page reloads during the same browser session.

Because sessionStorage is temporary, information stored there is generally cleared when the relevant browser tab or session ends.

TapAI does not currently use browser localStorage based on the implementation reviewed.

8. Cookies Used for Security

TapAI does not appear to use a separate dedicated first-party security cookie. However, security-related functionality may rely on the standard PHP session.

This may include:

  • CSRF or anti-forgery protection
  • Session validation
  • Verification-code handling
  • Other server-side security controls

TapAI may also use server-side measures such as verification-code rate limiting to help prevent misuse.

9. User Preferences and Subscription Status

No dedicated browser cookie was identified for storing user preferences.

No dedicated cookie was identified for storing TapAI subscription status.

Subscription information appears to be managed server-side.

10. Profile Editing

TapAI uses the persistent verification cookie described in Section 4 to support profile editing.

After a profile owner successfully verifies themselves using a one-time verification code, the cookie allows that verification state to remain available for approximately 30 days.

11. Razorpay Checkout

Payments for TapAI are processed using Razorpay Checkout.

Razorpay Checkout opens from the TapAI website through an overlay or payment window rather than normally requiring the user to leave TapAI entirely for a separate payment page.

Razorpay may use its own cookies, device-identification technologies, or similar mechanisms for purposes such as:

  • Payment functionality
  • Session handling
  • Security
  • Device identification
  • Fraud prevention
  • Payment processing

These technologies are controlled by Razorpay rather than directly by TapAI and are subject to Razorpay's own privacy, cookie, and security practices.

The exact Razorpay cookies used during a TapAI checkout session may vary and have not been exhaustively listed in this Policy.

12. Analytics Technologies

No implementation of the following technologies was identified in the TapAI pages and code reviewed:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel
  • Hotjar
  • Microsoft Clarity

No advertising or remarketing cookies were identified in the TapAI pages and code reviewed.

This statement reflects the implementation reviewed and should not be interpreted as an audit of every future version, page, template, or third-party integration.

If analytics or advertising technologies are introduced later, this Policy will be updated where appropriate.

13. Advertising and Remarketing Cookies

No first-party advertising or remarketing cookies were identified in the reviewed TapAI implementation.

TapAI currently does not use the reviewed website functionality to build advertising audiences or track visitors for remarketing purposes.

If TapAI introduces advertising, remarketing, conversion tracking, or similar technologies in the future, appropriate notice and consent mechanisms may be introduced where required.

14. Third-Party Embedded Content

Based on the pages reviewed, no embedded instances of the following were identified:

  • YouTube or Vimeo players
  • Embedded Google Maps
  • WhatsApp widgets
  • Embedded social-media widgets
  • Chat widgets
  • Calendly or similar scheduling widgets

TapAI may still contain normal links that open external services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, or social platforms.

Clicking an external link may take you to a third-party service where that provider's own cookies and privacy practices apply.

A normal external link is different from embedding a third-party widget directly into TapAI.

15. Strictly Necessary Cookies and Technologies

Some cookies and technical storage mechanisms used by TapAI are required for the website and service to function correctly.

These may support:

  • User sessions
  • Identity verification
  • Account access
  • Security
  • Server-side cart management
  • Checkout continuity
  • Essential website operation
Blocking or disabling necessary cookies may prevent certain TapAI features from working correctly.
16. Cookie Consent and Banner

TapAI did not display a cookie consent banner on the homepage at the time of the implementation review.

Whether a consent banner is legally required depends on the types of cookies and technologies in use and the jurisdictions applicable to a visitor.

Where TapAI uses only strictly necessary cookies or technologies, different consent requirements may apply than where analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies are used.

If TapAI introduces non-essential cookies or technologies in the future, TapAI may implement an appropriate cookie-consent or preference mechanism where required by applicable law.

17. Visitors from Outside India

TapAI currently sells its products and services in India.

However, the TapAI website may be accessed by visitors located outside India, including visitors in the United Kingdom, European Union, or other jurisdictions. TapAI may also expand into additional markets in the future.

Where additional cookie-consent or privacy requirements apply because of the technologies used or jurisdictions served, TapAI may update its cookie practices and consent mechanisms accordingly.

18. Managing Cookies

Users may manage cookies through their browser settings.

Depending on the browser, users may be able to:

  • View stored cookies
  • Block cookies
  • Delete cookies
  • Restrict third-party cookies
  • Configure cookie permissions

Disabling essential cookies may affect login, profile editing, cart functionality, checkout, or other TapAI features.

TapAI does not currently provide a separate Cookie Settings preference centre. If non-essential cookie categories are introduced in the future, TapAI may introduce additional preference controls where appropriate.

19. Cookie Inventory

TapAI's current implementation includes, at a minimum:

TechnologyPurposeTypeDuration
Standard PHP Session Cookie Session handling, login state, cart association, security tokens, and essential website functionality. Strictly necessary / session-related Determined by server-side PHP session configuration
Profile Verification Cookie Keeps a verified profile owner authenticated for profile-editing access. Functional / authentication-related Approximately 30 days
Browser Session Storage Temporarily preserves checkout information during the current browser session. Essential session storage Generally until the browser tab or session ends
Razorpay Technologies Payment processing, session handling, security, device identification, and fraud prevention. Razorpay Determined by Razorpay

A more detailed cookie inventory may be added after an implementation-level browser scan confirms exact cookie names and expiration periods.

20. Updates to TapAI's Cookie Inventory

Arissa should review TapAI's cookie inventory whenever the following are introduced:

  • Scripts
  • Analytics tools
  • Advertising tools
  • Payment services
  • Embedded content
  • Marketing technologies
  • Social integrations
  • Third-party services

Any material changes to the use of cookies or similar technologies may require this Policy to be updated.

21. Changes to This Cookie Policy

Arissa may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes to TapAI functionality
  • New website technologies
  • Changes to session management
  • Changes to payment integrations
  • New third-party services
  • Changes to analytics or advertising technologies
